Once upon a Time, a long long time ago when people got up early, worked the land and had no need To Lose Weight    Life was simpler. People ate well, but they worked hard too. They woke up early in the morning and then engaged in a whole day’s work. This work was mostly physical labour. People worked in fields digging, sowing, harvesting. They tilled the soil, rode horses, worked on farms and ranches. The result was that they could afford to eat almost anything they wanted in whatever quantities they wanted.

The world has changed so much since those days. Lifestyles have changed.  We have emails and the world wide web, we have mobile phones and lots of remote controls for our TVs, dvd players, Xboxes, Ipads, laptops, Game consoles and all the other gadgets – so much technology.  There is no need to move from one chair all day, all evening.  Food is or can be fast – full of stuff and not a nutrient to be seen.  We buy from supermarkets and bring this home in our cars and ‘cook’ it in microwaves.  It’s all quick and easy.  As a result of all these comforts and amenities the state of physical wellbeing has really changed. Most of us have sedentary jobs that demand little or no exercise at all. To put it simply, things have become too easy. And just as can be expected, Weight Gain has become a major concern for almost every city dweller.

Not just weight gain but health loss too.  When we’re young it is not such a major concern. But as we get older we start showing signs of weight gain and usually in all the wrong places.    

It’s not about the perfectly sculpted and toned body or being as thin as you can. It is more about staying fit and remaining healthy to ensure a long, disease free life. Everybody knows that those extra pounds spell illness. We have countries where the obesity rate is frightening not just in the middle aged but also in the young.  And then we have the other end of the spectrum – famine in some countries and some places where girls as young as (I hate to even think it)the age of 5 are suffering from ‘dieting diseases’ because they think they’re fat.  Anorexia and bulimia are rife. 

How did we get to this?

But we all know that weight loss doesn’t happen by itself and there are numerous diets that people all over the world are starting after the excesses of the last holiday season.

Unfortunately for the majority the diets that they’re doing will end up in disaster.  Yes they might lose a few pounds but then sure as eggs are eggs it will come back again unless they spend the rest of our lives being ‘careful’; literally no over-eating on holidays, weekends, celebration nights… a life in fact of abstinence.

The same of course is true of staying fit; regular attendance at the gym, no holding back there I’m afraid.  No ‘I can’t be bothered to go tonight because it’s cold and raining and I just want to go off home instead and watch Eastenders’.

So how can be put an end to this?  How can you lose the weight without it coming back on again?  Is it hopeless? 

No it isn’t.

The only way to lose the weight is to change your thinking.  When we change our belief system we change our thoughts.  And the weight comes off.  We have more confidence.  And guess what?  When it comes to the holidays, or a special celebration, yes we can go a little overboard knowing that when the holiday is over we will automatically go back to our regular eating patterns.  It sounds simplistic   And It is.  It’s the way slim people eat – they don’t obsess about food; it’s just ‘there’ – they eat when they’re hungry and stop when they’re full.  They’ll have a bit of cake if they fancy but they don’t have to spend the next 48 hours beating themselves up about it.  It’s a whole different mindset.    

I’ve developed an amazing no diet weight loss programme – which is fast and very effective.  It doesn’t involve starving yourself.  It doesn’t involve eating weird combinations of foods, going to the gym 6 times a week, taking pills, meal supplements or anything else that is totally against what you want to do.

What it does do and will do is totally re-programme your ideas about food, about yourself and what you actually deserve. Not just with regard to food but to your life, your confidence, your self esteem.  You will be surprised how quickly your life can change and how quickly the weight will come off and stay off

Like a computer when the ‘hardware’ isn’t congruent with the ‘software’ no advancement can be made when we are out of sync; and it’s the same with our brains.  If we say one thing – and believe in our subconscious something totally, different we’ll never make the changes we think we want  Our thoughts and beliefs are what makes us ‘tick’  so whatever the issue whether it’s relationships, work/career, money, self esteem, confidence; I help people look at what is holding them back and help them release those ties enabling them to go forward with whatever it is they desire. . But it can be a very painful process, the letting go, and people have to be ready and willing to make the changes.  Affirmations are wonderful tools but useless without that one major ingredient – Action!

So Action, consistency and commitment – make it happen –
